Malingri Park and Castle of Bagnolo
The 17th century layout, geometrically designed with hedges, flower beds, fountains and majestic allies of Carpinus alba, with the rare presence of tall trees, was reworked at the beginning of the 19th century according to the romantic canons of the so-called English garden, artfully altering the regular design with sinuous paths, squares, viewpoints and meditation areas, small buildings and sculpted stone elements, flowering shrubs, groves and shady areas with trees: it was the time of Count Coriolano Malingri di Bagnolo, arcane poet and worthy descendant of Aimee (1399) squire of the Prince of Acaja, poet in the Occitan language.
Even today, the two souls of the park: the ancient classical and the 19th century romantic coexist and dialogue with each other with unusual and mysterious charm.
There are three wonderful seasons in the romantic park to enjoy its scents and colours.
