History

The seven-acre garden that surrounds the neo-classical country villa is a paradise that began its life in 2000, with the idea to create a romantic, informal garden, composed of a series of adjoining rooms. Revealed to the
viewer a little at a time, this sensory trail unfolds in a riot of colour and the intense fragrance of climbing and flowering shrubs and plants, punctuated by the rhythmic and constant sound of rippling ponds and water features teeming with brightly coloured water lilies. Within this fascinating space, the gardens are divided into different areas and geographical themes. In 2011, Le Stanze in Fiore was awarded the third prize of the 'Grandi Giardini Italiani' (Great Italian Gardens) for its 'high level of maintenance, good governance and care of the visitable gardens'.
In 2020 the garden was included in the worldwide network of the 'Great Gardens of the World', an ambitious project aimed at promoting the art and beauty contained in the gardens. Le Stanze in Fiore was recognised as a source of inspiration for new generations.
In 2020, the terraced hill was transformed into a labyrinth, dotted with winding rows of multi-coloured roses on different levels, recalling the myriad shades of the sky, from dawn to sunset. An earthly paradise that restores balance and reconciles the senses. The desire to pass on the feeling of caring for the environment to new generations, as well as the love of nature, drove Rossella Pezzino de Geronimo to transform a part of Le Stanze in Fiore into an organic and sustainable vegetable garden and orchard, cultivated according to the principles of biodiversity. The garden boasts fertile, nutrient-rich soil that produces fruit and vegetables able to nourish not only the body but also the mind. Here, the products are cultivated following the cycles and rhythms of nature. A reality that becomes bigger and bigger every day, rich in products and above all accessible to the public.
