Villa Erba
ORTICOLARIO, the green fair, will come back to Villa Erba from Thursday 28 September to Sunday 1 October.
The current edition has as its central theme the value of water, a very topical subject, but extremely complex due to the countless perspectives from which it can be considered, which will be investigated by going against the tide, provoking, creating culture; investigating the ancestral relationship between man and water and the indissoluble relationship between water and nature. How? Through its purest essence: the exhibitors' proposals, projects and installations, play and educational workshops for children, and a rich and articulated cultural programme.
The title is ''In the Sense of Water'', the theme is ''Water Landscape'', while the star plants are those for a sustainable garden.
The thirteenth edition thus presents itself as an original journey through the vital Water Landscape towards which man has lost an authentic awareness: the history of water and its landscape coincides with the history of the world, and it is the sense of belonging to places that shapes its behaviour.
From aquatic ecosystems to totally dry ones, every plant has a special relationship with water. Orticolario 2023 plunges, guiding us, into the depths of this bond, moving from water lilies to cacti and showcasing the different habitats in which plants live.
