Sigurtà Park's season kicks off
Sunday 5 March the gates of the Sigurtà Garden Park, the naturalistic pearl of the Veronese province, reopen, and catch the first signs of the approaching spring in the blossoming of the crocuses, in brilliant shades of yellow or purple or in softer colours such as blue, white and lilac, or discover the beauty of the forsythia, a sulphur-yellow shrub found near the entrance to the Garden and in the woods, and admire how the mandorlas and prunus are preparing for the fine weather.
Not to be missed is a regenerating walk among the lawns and centuries-old trees such as the Great Oak and a visit to the Great Grass Carpet, the Labyrinth, the Farm and the Avenue of Roses, fascinating even in March, with the romantic view of the Scaliger Castle of Valeggio s/M in the background.
There are different ways to visit the Second Most Beautiful Park in Europe: on foot, in an electric golf-cart equipped with a special guide with GPS tracking, on board the panoramic train for a complete tour, on the electric shuttle accompanied by a guide, and finally by bicycle with your own or by renting an electric version from the Park's renting service.
On Friday 3 March there will be free admission for subscribers to the Sigurtà Garden Park, while on Saturday 4 March there will be free admission for residents of Valeggio sul Mincio.
On 8th March it will be the turn of women: as every year the Sigurtà Garden Park celebrates Woman's Day by giving free entrance to the Garden to all female visitors. This initiative is proposed again for the 2023 season: Monday 6, Tuesday 7 and Wednesday 8 March all women will be able to enter the Park free of charge, spending a day in Nature that smells of imminent spring: It will be an opportunity to take a selfie on the Labyrinth Tower, one of the three most beautiful labyrinths in the world, to stop off at the Little Flower Lakes of the Great Grass Carpet, or to discover the first hints of Tulipanomania, the unmissable flowering of over a million tulips which, together with muscari, hyacinths and narcissus, will colour the grassy lawns and woods of the Garden Park in March and April with ever new floral displays year after year.
Also for this beginning of the 2023 season, men accompanying a woman on a visit to the Garden on 6,7,8 March will be entitled to a reduced entrance fee, euro 12.00 instead of euro 16.00.
New for the 2023 season: on 10 April (Easter Monday), 25 April and 1 May, entry to the Park will be limited and only possible by purchasing tickets online at www.sigurta.it, while stocks last. For all information, events, news and updates: www.sigurta.it
