Villa Tasca: only for me

VILLA TASCA stands in the middle of a historic garden surrounded by citrus groves and secular trees on the road that goes from Palermo to Monreale. The Villa was originally built in the 16th century but its surrounding oasis is one of Sicily's most emblematic 19th century Romantic gardens. The gracefully curved stone-bordered flowerbeds and the lush tropical vegetation plunge you into a world of silence and magic. These more thickly planted areas lie beside beautiful green lawns that allow you to enjoy the gardens with lightness and simplicity any time of the day.

The large and brightly-lit interiors are decorated with 18th century frescoes and majolica depicting rocky landscapes – the same perfect balance felt in the gardens between bursting life and quiet peacefulness. A historical mansion and a family home. An experience where guests will be immersed in the same atmosphere as King Ferdinand IV and Queen Caroline, Bismarck, Margherita of Savoy and Jacqueline Kennedy. The same atmosphere that inspired Richard Wagner to write the third act of Parsifal when he stayed with the Tasca family.

Villa Tasca is a unique experience combining wine, food, nature and history.

The VILLA
Nestled in the romantic garden, the Villa spreads out over two floors, with cozy bedrooms and frescoed halls. Two terraces look over the park and botanic gardens. There is WI- FI internet connection throughout the house.

The GARDEN
A guided tour through the lush vegetation of the Villa Tasca gardens will take you back in time to the historical and cultural period when it was built and you will discover the many botanical species and their peculiarities.

The ''PIANO NOBILE''
It is entirely decorated with frescoes. The walls and vaults of the main hall depict pastoral landscapes by Cotardi. The Music Hall where Richard Wagner composed a part of the ''Parsifal” is on the same floor.

The TERRACE
A large terrace with blue and white majolica overlooks the park. The patio under the arch is paved with an antique mosaic floor.

It was in Palermo, in the Tasca gardens, that I experienced the full beauty, the peaceful and noble radiance of pure and immense light.
