Let your personal style bloom with Leaf
Rado has initiated a creative partnership with Grandi Giardini Italiani and will launch the new Leaf model, a wristwatch inspired by nature and the history of Italian garden design, during Baselworld.
Rado's tradition is inextricably linked to avant-garde design and research into innovative, hypoallergenic materials. The Leaf model has an exquisite face in green mother-of-pearl, showing the outline of a leaf, an inspired design in its simplicity and beauty.
The Rado designers were inspired by world famous gardens such as Villa Taranto, Villa Melzi D'Eril, the Landriana Gardens, Caserta Royal Palace and the Bomarzo Sacred Wood. These gardens represent over 500 years of art history, creativity and design and all belong to the Grandi Giardini Italiani network. Each garden is a treasure trove brimming with natural elements used architecturally. Leaf is a watch which successfully encapsulates our amazing world of plants and craftsmanship.
People long for nature in an ever more mechanised, digitised world and they have more time to visit the Great Italian Gardens, where they are rewarded with wellbeing and inspiration. Rado recognises that a garden is a place where man has communed with nature, a place where he has experimented his creative flair over the centuries. Goethe defined Italy as “the garden of Europe”, Grandi Giardini Italiani could be considered the cradle of international garden design.
Leaf, the super-light wristwatch, is the first fruit maturing from the creative partnership between the prestigious Rado brand and Grandi Giardini Italiani. The Rado designers have gleaned from the glorious past of Italian gardens to highlight a future where nature is the core.
