Spring Walking

There are times of the year that have different flavors and colors that seem to awaken our senses. Spring is the time when everything is awakening like our desire to live and to look at the world with optimism. This wonderful season awakens our desire to go out, meet friends and be outdoors.

In Japan there is an ancient old tradition, still alive, that leads people to follow the ''sakura'', the flowering of the cherry blossom. The blooming is an event that is celebrated with a rich picnic in the shade of the cherry blossom.

Even ''Great Italian Gardens'' wants to celebrate this special moment and we do it every year with two trips designed to excite: ''Purple Gardens'' and ''In the name of the Rose''. Two different journeys united by a same fil rouge: to bring the public to discover the world of nature and art through the magnificent blooming of azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias, hydrangeas and roses. But the journey doesn't stop here. You can follow the Wisteria Blooming in Toscana at ''Villa Bardini'' or in Liguria at ''Villa della Pergola'' or ''La Cervara''; you can walk among the colorful Irises of ''Villa La Massa'' in the Chianti hills or be fascinated by the beautiful flowering of late tulips of ''Parco Sigurtà'' in Veneto.
