Story

During more than fifty years, the artist Bruno Weber (1931-2011) created a world that resembles dreams and conveys a private understanding between man, nature and space to 15,000 square meters life. Politically, the Bruno Weber Park belongs to the municipality of Spreitenbach, in Canton of Aargau, however, the access to the park lies in Dietikon, Canton Zurich. The art space between the neighboring cantons is reached in about 15 minutes by car from Zurich. With public transport and some time it is reachable in 30-45 minute walk along the Bruno Weber path, starting from Dietikon Bahnhof.
In Switzerland the Park is the largest sculpture park creation of a single artist. Bruno Weber built near the forest above Dietikon and Spreitenbach a Gesamtkunstwerk, that has no equal.

From the foundations to the tower created by the park it has always a new challenge for the design options. The house of the Weber family is described by Peter K. Wehrli as ''quite grown, much as built, it is as a set of concrete filigree, as it expands in the tower room globe star that meets the firmament.'' Inspired by distant cultures and eras inhabited by mythical creatures, this magical garden has been transformed gradually into an elaborate system with fringes, bridges and ponds, plazas and palaces. Some of monumental sculptures present today are, for example, a giant cat (1975, concrete) the dog of more than 100 meters in length (2010, cement, ceramics and color). Concrete benches and chairs in human and animal forms invite the visitor to relax and enjoy the park, surrounded by woods with different clematis, lilies, peonies and abundance of native plant species, domestic and wild animals. Bruno Weber Foundation (founded in 1991) has undertaken, in collaboration with the family of artists, for the conservation, documentation and the continued construction of the park.
