Convent Garden of the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer

In continuing its mission, Venice Gardens Foundation promoted and carried out the restoration of the vast Convent Garden of the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer with its Old Workshops and Greenhouse.

In May 2021, to safeguard this important site, it was entrusted to Venice Gardens Foundation by the Provincial Curia of the Friars Minor Capuchin, with authorisation granted by the Holy See (Congregatio pro Institutis Vitae Consecratae et Societatibus Vitae Apostolicae) and by the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the City of Venice and its Lagoon.

The Foundation appointed landscape architect Paolo Pejrone to oversee botanical restoration and architect Alessandra Raso to carry out the architectural restoration of the church and greenhouse.

After renovation work carried out respecting the spirit of the place, through a design that has lasted over time but at the same time looks to the future with conscious, responsible commitment, today the convent garden has been opened to visitors for the first time in history.
