Sant'Efis Hotel is a charming boutique hotel nestled in the greenery, an oasis of tranquility, completely renovated recently. It belongs to a family of Sardinian entrepreneurs who, with passion, have enhanced the island's tradition and culture with the aim of creating an atmosphere of refined luxury.
The design of the garden at Sant'Efis Hotel, which overlooks the crystal clear sea of the Bay of Nora on the southwest coast of Sardinia, was entrusted to landscape engineer Maurizio Usai, who conceived a sensory park, unique in its nuances of color and fragrance. The first step in creating the garden was to prepare the particularly clayey soil, making a deep irrigation system. When needed, water is also drawn from special wells, maintaining a very low salinity level. An arduous task that has given great satisfaction in the growth of the plants, which are robust and healthy thanks to the soil's nutritional characteristics.
In his project, landscape architect Usai wanted to carry on the Sardinian tradition of subtropical plants; in fact, in the 19th century the city of Pula was known for the botanical discoveries of the Marquis of Villarmosa, who acclimated plants mainly from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, importing the first Jacarandas, Ficus magnolioides and Phytolacca, which were perfectly adapted to Sardinia's climate. So Usai has supplemented existing plants, such as palms and dense Strelitzie shrubs, with a collection of Hibiscus among which many varieties come from the Sgaravatti nursery. Near the sea you can see very rare and striking yellow hibiscus.
Sant'Efis Hotel is thought of as ''a home away from home'' surrounded by greenery. Traditional Sardinian details blend harmoniously with modern comforts, creating a cozy and refined environment inspired by the tradition of the story of Sant'Efisio, the martyr saint venerated throughout the island. The exceptional panoramic view creates a feeling of total immersion in the natural beauty that surrounds it.
