The eighteenth-century Villa Caprile and its park of about 25 hectares overlook the city of Pesaro from Monte San Bartolo, inside the homonymous Park which houses, in addition to this historic residence, also other villas of great beauty, such as the sixteenth century Villa Imperiale.

Villa Caprile was built in 1640 as the summer dwelling of Mosca Marquis family. Here Giacomo Casanova, Stendhal, Carolina of Brunswick princess of Wales, Napoleon Bonaparte were guests. During World War II it was occupied by the German Command in the 2nd World War as an outpost on the Gothic Line.

At Villa Caprile tourists are guided through the many wonders of its park: the historic Italian Gardens with the ancient active and well-preserved water jokes, the Secret Garden, the Fountains of Atlas and the Tritons, the grottoes that extend under the Villa, the cave of the Devil, the Verzura Theater, the path of Yews and the old roses garden. Then there are the beauties of the Villa as the main avenue with classical busts and Etruscan vases, the entrance hall with the two spectacular ramps, the main hall of the noble floor with the decorated ceiling, the ancient halls, the Gallery of Stuccoes and the neoclassical Chapel of the San Francesco Oratory, for a unique experience between nature and culture.

Since 1876 Villa Caprile, with the annexed Agricultural Company for the production of oil and wine, hosts the ancient and important Agricultural Institute ''A. Cecchi ”, which ensures the maintenance and enhancement of this cultural asset.

Owned by the Province of Pesaro-Urbino, thanks to the Agricultural Institute and the commitment, passion and love of its many students and teachers, today Villa Caprile is an active cultural center, hosts conferences, meetings and events, set in a landscape of great beauty.
